Topical Training for Trainers on Abuse and Neglect Prevention

This half-day Train-the-Trainer session provides participants with tips and tools to successfully train twelve modules designed to prevent abuse, neglect and misappropriation by caregivers in long-term care settings. Training modules are designed to:

  • increase direct caregivers' awareness of potential abuse and neglect;
  • teach caregivers how to observe professional boundaries with those in their care; and
  • give caregivers the necessary tools to respond appropriately to challenging situations.
